Pin Studio Privacy Policy

Salt Fork Pin Studio is a private planning tool operated by Salt Fork Mercantile for its own Etsy shop and Pinterest account. It is not currently offered to other sellers.

What the current planner stores

The planner stores manually entered listing details, product images, pin titles and descriptions, chosen boards, planned posting times, approval states and manually entered performance totals in the owner's browser storage. Backup files are downloaded only when the owner requests an export. The planner does not automatically schedule posts, connect to Etsy, or send drafts to an AI writing service. After the owner connects Pinterest, approved drafts can be sent to Pinterest as Trial pins.

Hosting

The planner is hosted through ChatGPT Sites with owner-only access. This privacy-policy page is public. Hosting and sign-in providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, request information and authentication data under their own privacy policies. The planner does not add advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts.

Pinterest account connection

Pin Studio supports the official Pinterest authorization flow for the owner’s own account. The owner supplies the approved app ID and secret to the private application and authorizes reading their boards, pins and account profile and creating pins. App credentials and access and refresh tokens are encrypted before storage in the hosting provider’s server database. The encryption key is stored separately as a hosting secret. Tokens are used only server-side and are not included in browser backups. Board names and identifiers are loaded for destination selection.

The server retains the owner identifier, draft identifier, attempt time, attempt status and resulting Pinterest pin identifier to prevent duplicate submissions. Pin image data, title, description, selected board and Etsy destination are sent to Pinterest only when the owner initiates publishing. Trial-created pins are visible only to their creator under Pinterest’s access rules. Automatic scheduling and performance reporting are not enabled.

Credentials are retained until the owner removes the connection. The “Remove saved connection” control deletes the application’s stored credentials and tokens. Access may also be revoked through Pinterest’s settings. Publishing records remain to prevent duplicates; requests to remove those records can be made through the contact below. Provider backups and technical logs follow the hosting provider’s retention policies. Disconnecting does not delete pins on Pinterest.

Etsy synchronization remains planned. No Etsy customer, order or payment information is needed for this workflow.

Control and deletion

The owner can edit drafts and export a backup. Clearing the planner site's browser data removes locally stored planner records from that browser. Exported backups must be deleted separately from wherever the owner saved them. Browser records are not automatically shared between devices. Public pins created outside this planner are managed separately on Pinterest.

Sharing

We do not sell planner records or share them for advertising. The current planner keeps user-entered records in the browser. The posting connection sends selected pin content and its destination link to Pinterest as part of an authorized publishing action.
